Who I Am

I love puzzles, the hairier the better. Show me a problem, and I want to take it apart, analyse it, and put it back together as a simpler, clearer, and more effective version.

For over a decade, I’ve applied that instinct across very different settings: document design, written communication, workflows, and processes. Figuring out what’s actually wrong, whether it be in a sentence, an argument, a workflow, a knowledge base, or a client communication, and building something clearer in its place.

What I Do

The smartest people with the most important things to say often struggle to get those ideas across clearly and simply. I specialise in closing that gap: finding the core of your message, reshaping it to land with the people you’re trying to reach, and showing you how to do it.

I move comfortably between hands-on, focused editorial work and higher-level process and knowledge design. The two aren’t as different as they sound. Both come down to spotting where structure is missing or communication is breaking down, and then building something that actually works for the people using it.

• Editing: From developmental edits that tackle structure, pacing, and plot, to line edits that polish your prose, I offer editing that respects your intent while making the work as strong as possible.

• Coaching: I help writers find clarity and momentum, whether you’re stuck mid-draft, unsure how to structure a manuscript, or looking for honest, constructive feedback on your work.

• Style Guides: A style guide keeps every piece of content you produce sounding consistent, whoever’s writing it. I build the rulebook so you don’t have to keep explaining your preferences.

What It’s Like to Work With Me

I work remote-first, so location is never a barrier to working together.

Depending on the service, we’ll move between two modes: video calls for discussions, planning, and check-ins, and comments and tracked changes for the detailed work on your document. Some services lean more on one than the other — developmental editing and coaching are call-heavy, content editing is mostly a document with comments — but you’ll always know exactly what’s changed and why.

Expect a lot of questions from me along the way. It’s important to get to the bottom of what’s actually going on before we start building or fixing anything, so don’t be surprised if I ask why something’s structured the way it is, or what you actually mean by a particular sentence.

I’m also genuinely curious about the world, so don’t hold back on the details. If you want to nerd out about your industry, your project, or the idea behind it, I’m right there with you; that kind of enthusiasm makes the work better, not slower.
